The Masked Dancer premiere was aired on Fox on January 6, Wednesday which featured the second half of Season 1’s contestants. Ice Cube was one of the Group B performers.

According to FOX, the celebrities dancing behind the mask have impressive achievements on their resumes. “Between all of the celebrity dancers, they’ve amassed more than 38 million albums sold worldwide, 20 Grammy Award nominations 20 Emmy Award wins, four Olympic gold medals, 10 World Dancing titles, five New York Times Best-Selling Author titles, and three Broadway show appearances.”, FOX shared in a statement. Which impressive accolades are attached to the celebrity behind the Ice Cube mask?
One of the most noticeable things about the person wearing the Ice Cube Mask who came on the stage of The Masked Dancer was that his stature is “taller and lanky”. ‘He looked like an entertainer’, panelists noted.
At the start of Ice Cube’s first guess package, he said, “Welcome to my chill paradise.” He further said, “The road to get here was slippery”. Growing up, he said, “I was home alone and isolated.”
He also gave a clue about his parents and said, his Mom was at the White House, while his dad spent time behind bars.
While he was on the stage of The Masked Dancer, some visual clues were being played on the screen behind him which included TV dinner, ballet slipper, and the periodic table of elements.
While he was on stage, there were a number of references to climate change in his clue package. He also said that those who want to make a difference and speak out for a cause they’re passionate about should “Do it to help make this cold world a better place”.
An elaborate Ice Palace was the backdrop for the dance during the Ice Cube’s performance.
After hearing the voice of the person behind the mask without his voice being altered by the modulator in the “Word Up” phrase, the voice was like a “90s Icon”. Paula Abdul said, “I’ve heard this voice before”. While Ashley thinks that the celebrity face behind the mask is “Old”.
At the end of the episode, Ice Cube was eliminated but the panelist got to ask him a question before his face revelation. They learned that:
-millions have seen him on TV
-“huge” following on social media
-has been a stand-up comedian before
-has more than a speck of white hair.
Guesses Panelists Made On ‘The Masked Dancer’ Ice Cube
The four celebrity panelists to guess for the face behind the Ice Cube Mask were Ashley Tisdale, Ken Jeong, Paula Abdul, and Brian Austin Green.
At first glance, would it be appropriate to guess that the celebrity face behind the Ice Cube mask on The Masked Dancer is rapper Ice Cube himself?
After his performance of a jazz cover of “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga, the panelists said that he doesn’t seem like a trained dancer.
Ken Jeong thought that it might be, Bill Nye the science guy due to many science references.
Green guessed that it might be Bill Maher, “Somebody (he’s) known for a while”.
Abdul thought that it might be Anderson Cooper, whose mom had been in politics.
At the end of the episode, it was revealed that the celebrity face behind the Ice Cube Mask on The Masked Dancer who was eliminated was Bill Nye the science guy.
The Masked Dance airs on FOX on Wednesday nights at 8 pm.
