Season 4 of American Idol is almost there!

Feedfame has the exclusive first look at Season 4 of the American Idol starting from Feb 14 as well as three new trailers showcasing what’s to come on the AMC music competition series.

Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry return as judges in Season 4 of American Idol. The judges will not be sharing the same dais this time. Instead, each judge will be separated from each other with their own table sectioned off from one other.

Ryan Seacrest will again return as the host and Booby Jones will serve as the in-house mentor.

This fourth season of Idol marks Katy Perry’s first season as a new mom after she gave birth to her daughter Daisy Dove. Katy Perry welcomed the newborn in late August with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

In the three promo clips, Bryan 44, Richie 71, and Perry 36, some of the biggest singers in the history of music shared their inspiring messages about music, love, and dreams.

“Where there is love I don’t think you can go wrong,” Richie says, sharing Ella Fitzgerald’s words.

In the words of fellow country star Johnny Cash, Bryan says, “You can choose love or hate, I choose love.”

“Love is supreme and unconditional,” Perry says, quoting Duke Ellington.

The teaser video clip also shows the reaction of judges to some of the amateur singers who auditioned in Season 4 of the Idol.

Previously in a sneak peek video, Luke Bryan got emotional seeing the performance of a contestant. Luke said, “This is the first time in four years, just someone made me cry”.  In separate footage, Katy Perry can be seen with tears rolling down her face.

Samantha ‘Just Sam’ Diaz won Season 3 of American Idol in May 2020.

This was the first time in the history of the show that the judges and contestants were forced to broadcast remotely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that hit the world. Ryan Seacrest told Feedfame, “It’s technically not possible to do it all live obviously”.

Season 4  of American Idol premiers on ABC on Valentine’s Day Feb 14.
